通達食店   Coordinates: 22.313902,114.170817
Congee Set   Rating: 2.5/5
Luncheon Meat Noodles Set   Rating 3/5
Had breakfast at a Cha Chan Teng shop near Cityview Hotel, 通達食店. The Congee Set cost HKD14 and the Luncheon Meat Noodle Set cost HKD21. This place also servers a mean curry fish ball stick in the afternoon and night.

Wong Tai Sin Temple   Coordinates: 22.342688,114.193476
Lanterns waving in the morning breeze
Lion statue standing guard
Devotees offering prayers
Shops selling incense and good luck charm
Right after breakfast, we took off to visit Wong Tai Sin temple. This temple, often reference in numerous Hong Kong dramas, is famed for 有求必應, which roughly translates into "have wish will get".

Even though we were there early, hordes of tourists were already there visiting. After offering our prayers, we took off for our next destination, one stop away at Diamond Hill Station.

Aerial View
Pagoda
Waterfall
Pond
Nan Lian Garden   Coordinates: 22.338902,114.204723
Nan Lian Garden, open to the public in 2006, has rocks and trees sculptured in Tang Dynasty style. A walk in this peaceful garden in the early morning is very invigorating. Unlike Wong Tai Sing Temple, there were hardly anyone around! Beautiful garden and high on my list to revisit if I ever come to HK again.
Chi Lin Nunnery   Coordinates: 22.340301,114.205121
Lotus Pond
Rock Sculpture
From Nan Lian Garden, we crossed over the inter connecting bridge to Chi Lin Nunnery. Again, there were hardly any one around. This nunnery has a Lotus Pond and house stones exhibits with quirky English translations.

Yipee Doo Dah, Yipee Di Dah!
Waffles   Rating: 3.5/5
To reach Disneyland from Diamond Hill Station involves several switches. First we caught the MTR Green Line to Prince Edward. Then we changed to Red Line to Lai King, after which we took the Orange Line to Sunny Bay. At Sunny Bay, we took the Disney Line to Disneyland. We reached Disneyland at 10.30am and the first thing we did was to eat! Freshly baked waffles at HKD45 each.

Street Performers
Festival of the Lion King Show
Disney Parade
Minnie and friends
Girls just wanna have fun

We caught the Festival of the Lion King show, a colorful performance with plenty of singing and dancing.

Whats Disney without a parade? Although this is a pretty short parade, it was colorful and has all the usual Disney characters.

It's a mall world rid
We also took quite a number of rides here. The first one we took was Space Mountain.

Tip: Use your Fast Pass well. eg. When you first arrived there, grab your Fast Pass at Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters, then queue up to ride Space Mountain. After completing Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters at the appointed time, grab the next Fast Pass and so on.

Mixed Vegetables   Rating: 3/5
Wanton Noodles   Rating: 3/5
Broccoli with Fish Slices   Rating 3.5/5
Dim Sum   Rating: 3.5/5
Took late lunch at 3pm at Plaza Inn. This restaurant is managed by the Maxim Group and serves Cantonese Crusine. Always worthwhile to go for the set menu and in this case, this particular set cost us HKD 389.

Tip: Try eating early or later to avoid the crowd.

Winnie the Pooh ride
Jungle River Cruise
The newly constructed Toy Story Land
Toy Story Parachute Drop
We stayed back late to catch the fireworks and it was a fabulous end to the day! Sorry, but the photos of the fireworks did not turn out well.
