Tokyo Day 10 - 26 Nov 12

View from our hotel in the morning.

Pictures of the autumn trees that line the road outside our hotel.

Another gate to Chinatown.

Love their Vitamin C drinks over there. Citrusy and thirst quenching.

Went for a walk at Ueno Park which was a stone throw away from our hotel. This park is huge and is especially crowded on Sundays. There are many museums, temples, art academies and even a zoo located within the park.

Kiyomizu Kannon Temple. Although it's small, worth a quick visit.

The numerous toriis lining the entrance reminiscent of  Fushimi Inari Shrine.

More photos of the park.

Brown Stew   Rating: 4.5/5

Alantic Lobster Soup   Rating: 4.5/5

Dropped by the nearby JR Ueno station for lunch. The 2 set meals cost us 1520 yen. Not cheap and further more, the amount of soup is not much. However the flavor of the soup is really good.

The next place we visited was Ghibli Museum. For this Museum, you need to make prior reservations before going down. You can buy tickets at Lawson using the Loppi machine.

The Museum has a strict no photography within the insides. Photography is only allowed outside.

The famous robot from Laputa movie.

More photos of the outside at the museum. Pity I did not try the cafe, maybe next time.

Tetsu Ramen   Rating: 3.5/5
Took Tetsu Ramen for dinner at Mitaka Station. Perhaps tsukemen is not my cup of tea.

Maison Tonkatsu Sanwich   Rating: 2.5/5

Bought the famous Maisen Tonkatsu sandwich earlier during lunch and had this for supper. Perhaps it was cold and the time lapsed, the sandwich came across as mediocre. Hopefully, one day, I will get a chance to eat at their restaurant.
