Hui Wei Chinese-Thai Cruisine

Date: 5 May 12, Sat (Vesak Day)
Time: 12.30pm

Since it's a holiday, we decided to travel to French Road to try this zi cha stall. Only this shop and another chap chye png stall was opened and the entire coffee shop was rather deserted.

Since there were 3 of us (my sister accompanied us), we ordered a myriad of dishes to try.

Signature Fish Head $16   Rating: 4/5
Braised Pork Shank $13   Rating: 3.5/5
Fish Maw Soup $6   Rating: 3.5/5
Mei Ren Yu Eggplant $8   Rating: 4/5
Bill
The total bill came to $44 for the three of us. I was told that the savory sauce for the fish head is made from vegetables. Coupled with the fresh fish head, it was the highlight of the meal. The soup (smallest size) is big enough to serve 4. The rest of the food was also really good and we'll be coming back again to sample more dishes, hopefully with more people.

It's just a shame that there are very little people patronizing this shop. Beside us, there were only another 2 tables ordering their food. In a way, it's good, cause then we won't have to wait too long when we come back!

Oh and another thing, the young chap who took our orders advised against us ordering pineapple rice or the KL fried noodle and it certainly was advise well taken as we went with 2 bowls of white rice instead. Nice gesture on his part!
